In the Challenger team area, academics and community go hand-in-hand. Last Friday, teacher Mrs. Hansen and her students found a fun way to connect by sharing their mutual excitement for the highly anticipated new album from artist Taylor Swift.
Moments like these, where students and teachers can bond over shared cultural interests, are invaluable for building a positive and supportive team environment at Memorial Middle School.

On Thursday, October 2, Memorial Middle School joins schools across the country in celebrating Custodian Appreciation Day. This day is dedicated to recognizing the essential role our custodians play in maintaining a safe, clean, and positive learning environment. We are immensely grateful for their tireless efforts and commitment to the well-being of our students and staff. Their work is vital to the daily operations of our school, and we thank them for their outstanding service.

Memorial Middle School was pleased to host Representative Tesa Schwans, School Board Member Marc Murren, and Assistant Superintendent Dan Conrad for a visit on Wednesday, October 1. The guests toured the school and learned more about the academic programs and school culture that define the Mustang community.

Congratulations to all of our Students of the Month! 🎉
We are proud to recognize Mustangs who show leadership, kindness, and commitment to our core values. You'll see their names in the upcoming October Newsletter. #MustangsCARE

We are collecting photos from this week's volleyball games to feature in an upcoming gallery on our website and social media channels. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the hard work and spirit of our student-athletes. If you have photos you would like to share, please upload them to our community album at the following link: t.ly/MMSPhotos

Join us for a school fundraiser at Godfather's Pizza (5107 W. 41st St.) on Sunday, October 5, from 11 AM to 9 PM. When you order for dine-in, carryout, or delivery and mention Memorial Middle School, 20% of your sale will be donated back to our school. This is a wonderful opportunity to support our students and programs.

Congratulations to Brady, Aubree, Ayla, Aaralyn, and Angel on this well-deserved honor. These students serve as positive role models for their peers by demonstrating Community, Acting Responsibly, Respect, and Excellence in and out of the classroom. We are proud to have them in our Mustang community.
