PHMS is excited to launch Community Learning Centers (CLC) in Fall 2026—offering a safe, engaging space for students beyond the school day. From tutoring and mentoring to hands-on experiences in STEM, arts, sports, and more, CLC helps students grow academically and personally. Patrick Henry students are heading to the National History Day National Contest at the University of Maryland, College Park this June!
🎉 Three projects from our school qualified at the State Competition and will compete on the national stage! We are incredibly proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see them represent Patrick Henry at Nationals! Congratulations to all that participated!
This week, students will participate in state assessments on Tuesday and Wednesday—an opportunity to show what they’ve learned and celebrate their growth. A little preparation goes a long way—consistent routines, a good night’s rest, a positive mindset, and making sure Chromebooks are fully charged each day all help students feel confident and ready to shine. With your support at home, we know they’re going to do great things this week! 💙💛

Every child who will attend school in the Sioux Falls School District for the 2026-2027 school year must complete an annual update. This is required every year to ensure that student information, such as data privacy, emergency, and health information, is correct and up to date.

🔨🍕 Pizza, Pop & Power Tools = Powerful Possibilities! 💪✨
A group of our 8th grade girls had a blast at Pizza, Pop & Power Tools earlier in March —a hands-on construction event hosted by the Associated General Contractors of South Dakota! From welding and carpentry to operating heavy equipment and working with concrete, they explored the world of skilled trades in the best way—by jumping right in. Guided by female mentors from the National Association of Women in Construction, they built skills, confidence, and maybe even sparked a new passion or future career path. 🚧💡

Our students rocked their first performance of Shrek Jr. the Musical last night—and they’re ready to do it again! Join us tonight or Saturday and see for yourself!
8th graders put their knife skills to the test with a fresh Pico de Gallo & Guacamole lab, while 7th graders whipped up light and delicious Lemon Soufflés. 🍴✨
In FCS, it’s more than just cooking—students step into real kitchen roles like Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Assistant while practicing the mise en place method (“everything in its place”) just like the pros.
Before they ever step into the kitchen, students must pass a safety assessment (80% or higher!) and follow important kitchen guidelines to keep everyone safe and successful. 🔪✅
💡 Fun fact: A sharp knife is actually safer than a dull one—it cuts cleanly and is less likely to slip!
From teamwork to life skills, these labs are helping students build confidence one recipe at a time. 💛
