Team 8-2 is making the most of these final weeks of middle school! 💡In ELA, students took their writing outside, using figurative language to create poems inspired by their surroundings. 🌿✍️ In math, they’ve been exploring cube roots—challenging their thinking and building strong problem-solving skills. 🔢 As their middle school journey comes to a close, it’s great to see them staying engaged, creative, and ready for what’s next! 🎓✨

🏃♂️ Rion Lewis set a new school record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.08, surpassing the previous mark set in 2004 by Brett Anderson.
🏃♂️ The 800-meter medley relay team of Konrad Stangeland, Connor Hokanson, Jayden Boerboom, and Alexander Johnikin broke the school record with a time of 1:49.08, topping the 2024 record held by Cooper Hicks, Sam Sanders, Roque Voll, and Ethan Rock.
Congratulations to all these athletes for their outstanding efforts and dedication.

Patrick Henry students are heading to the National History Day National Contest at the University of Maryland, College Park this June!
🎉 Three projects from our school qualified at the State Competition and will compete on the national stage! We are incredibly proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see them represent Patrick Henry at Nationals! Congratulations to all that participated!

This week, students will participate in state assessments on Tuesday and Wednesday—an opportunity to show what they’ve learned and celebrate their growth. A little preparation goes a long way—consistent routines, a good night’s rest, a positive mindset, and making sure Chromebooks are fully charged each day all help students feel confident and ready to shine. With your support at home, we know they’re going to do great things this week! 💙💛

It’s an important week at Patrick Henry as students take their South Dakota Assessments—let’s encourage them to stay focused and do their best! Good luck to our track and soccer teams this week—Go Panthers! 🐾

Every child who will attend school in the Sioux Falls School District for the 2026-2027 school year must complete an annual update. This is required every year to ensure that student information, such as data privacy, emergency, and health information, is correct and up to date.
Complete the update using your desktop or laptop computer in just a few minutes through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account that can be found here --->https://siouxfallssd.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/parents/siouxfalls.jsp
Need help with the update? Please call your child's school or the Student Records and Registration Office at 605-367-7952.

📚✨ Happy Belated National School Librarian Day! ✨📚
Last Saturday was National School Librarian Day—let’s give a shoutout to Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Ostman for inspiring a love of reading and supporting our students every day. Thank you for creating a space where students feel welcomed, supported, and excited to learn. 💕📖

Out of 17 submissions, Ian’s stunning photo—captured in the beautiful Black Hills—rose to the top. 🌄✨
His winning piece has been printed on canvas and will proudly hang in our school library, inspiring students for years to come! Thank you to everyone who participated—we loved seeing your creativity through the lens! 📷

A big Thank You to Mr. Hall and Mrs. Nissen for the leadership, care, and support they bring to Patrick Henry every day. We appreciate all they do to make our school a great place to learn and grow! 💙💛

🔨🍕 Pizza, Pop & Power Tools = Powerful Possibilities! 💪✨
A group of our 8th grade girls had a blast at Pizza, Pop & Power Tools earlier in March —a hands-on construction event hosted by the Associated General Contractors of South Dakota! From welding and carpentry to operating heavy equipment and working with concrete, they explored the world of skilled trades in the best way—by jumping right in. Guided by female mentors from the National Association of Women in Construction, they built skills, confidence, and maybe even sparked a new passion or future career path. 🚧💡

Welcome back, Panthers! We hope you had a great Spring Break and are ready for the week ahead. We’re officially in the final stretch of the school year… let’s stay focused, work hard, and finish strong! 💙💛
