🎷🏆 Congratulations to our 8th Grade Jazz Band! 🏆🎷They took 1st place at the “Augustana Jazz on the Upper Great Plains” Festival! Competing against 11 bands from Iowa and South Dakota, they made history as the first Jazz Band from PHMS to ever win this competition!

The 7th and 8th grade girls and boys showed growth, grit, and sportsmanship all season long — from first-time wrestlers learning the basics to experienced competitors battling through tough matches. Congratulations to all of our wrestlers on a fantastic season!

Our newly formed Best Buddies student group is proud to promote kindness, belonging, and acceptance for all. Throughout the week, students are invited to participate in fun dress-up days and intentionally look for ways to include others in our classrooms, hallways, and activities.
A special highlight of the week is Spread the Word Day on March 4 💙 — a national movement led by Special Olympics and supported by Best Buddies International that encourages the use of respectful, inclusive language and actions to end the exclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Together, we can continue building a school community where everyone feels seen 👀, valued 💛, and included 🤗.

We’re excited to share that multiple National History Day projects from Patrick Henry have qualified for the NHD Regional Contest at the Old Courthouse Museum on March 12. These students have spent weeks diving deep into research, analyzing sources, building arguments, and refining their projects. Best of luck to these students as they take their projects to the next level ! 👏🎉

Our PH Dance Team took the floor at Lincoln High School this past weekend and represented Patrick Henry Middle School with energy, confidence, and Panther pride! We are so proud of the hard work they’ve put in and the way they continue to grow with every performance. Don’t miss your chance to see them in action again! We are so proud of our MATHCOUNTS students who participated in the Regional contest last week! 🎉 Six of our students qualified for the State Competition — Wyatt, Finn, Vihann, Luke, Andrew, and Dylan! These students have spent countless hours practicing challenging concepts, sharpening their strategies, and supporting one another as a team. Representing our school at the state level is an incredible accomplishment, and we couldn’t be more excited for them! We wish them the best of luck as they compete against the top math students in South Dakota later this month! ✖️➕➖➗🟰
