Game, Fish & Parks Educators and Conservation Officers teamed up to bring the HuntSAFE program to Patrick Henry Middle School in September. Through hands-on lessons in firearm safety, hunting ethics, and outdoor responsibility, students gained the knowledge and confidence to enjoy South Dakota’s great outdoors safely. Thank you to our partners, educators, and officers who made it possible to share this important program with the next generation of hunters! *Patrick Henry had 14 students participate and everyone passed the course with top scores! 👏👏

The PHMS Fall Dance is almost here! 💃🕺 Join us on Friday, October 31 from 4:00–5:30 PM in the gym for an afternoon of fun, friends, and great music sponsored by Student Council.
🎟️ Tickets can be purchased from PRO teachers during the week of October 20-24, 2025. $5 admission + student ID gets you 2 slices of pizza 🍕🍕 🚗 Please have rides ready at 5:30 PM for pick-up outside the front doors. 👻 No Halloween costumes allowed.
Last Tuesday, South Dakota State University hosted the Patrick Henry 8th graders. Students had a number of different experiences across different locations on campus. The students viewed a science show in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center, participated in an academic fair in the Miller Wellness Center, learned about student connection and engagement at the University Student Union, and had lunch at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. Thanks to SDSU for inviting the Panthers and helping 8th graders get a glimpse of what the future could hold.

They explored innovative ways to use AI to enhance classroom learning, boost creativity and support student success. The 2025 Patrick Henry Marching Band season was one to remember! Highlights of the season included performing at the Lincoln High School Homecoming game and in the Festival of Bands parade! The band even set a school record with 209 participants and is the largest marching band in the entire city! Way to go Panther Marching Band! 👏👏👏

Patrick Henry Staff partnered with The Community Blood Bank earlier this week. We had 21 donors and collected 18 units, which will potentially help 54 local patients! Every pint helps! 💛💙
