Team 8-2 spent time outside last week and played a game of kickball to build comradery and friendships! The year if off to a great start for Team 8-2!
LHS representatives from the Homecoming Court and Student Council visited Patrick Henry last week to share what Homecoming means to them and why it's important to get involved in Middle School and High School activities. Students had time to play games together and ask more questions! It's always fun when former Patrick Henry students come back to visit!

We are recognizing Childhood Cancer and Blood Cancer Awareness Month at Patrick Henry this week. Students are encouraged to participate in the Dress-Up Days and Coin War!
Yesterday a group of Patrick Henry students helped promote Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month. The 988 Crisis Hotline, along with the Helpline Center, encouraged local businesses and schools to "Chalk the Walk" with positive and uplifting messages regarding mental health and hope. Here is a reminder to be kind, to check in on your friends and to know that you are a valued member of our school community. A simple conversation can make a huge difference. 💙💛💙

Callahan Care's mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of Patrick Henry families. Through the establishment of open closets and open pantries, Callahan Care is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for students by providing access to essential resources, including clothing, toiletries, and food items. A big shout out goes to our Patrick Henry WEB Leaders for the hard work they've done in helping our new 6th graders transition smoothly into middle school. WEB, which stands for "Where Everybody Belongs," is a mentor program where older students are trained to be positive role models for incoming 6th graders. WEB Leaders will continue to meet with 6th graders throughout the year during Directed Studies. Thank you WEB Leaders!
