
Patrick Henry students learned that while the holidays are a happy time for many, some people in our community need a little extra help with some basic needs. Students worked together to tie fleece blankets for Project Warm Up. Thank you for fleece donations and for warming the hearts and bodies of those in need!





Team 6-3 was amazed with the success of their Giving Group Fundraiser last week! The Group raised $903.00 by selling treats before school and received a $200.00 donation from Student Council! Students in the Giving Group counted the funds and were able to shop online to purchase 46 gifts that were donated to the Salvation Army Angel Tree! It feels good to give -Thank you Patrick Henry!

The Patrick Henry Winter Band Concert is tonight - Tuesday, December 12 in the PHMS Gym.
**6th grade starts @ 6:30 pm, students should report to the cafeteria by 6:10 pm
**7th/8th grade starts @ 7:30 pm, 7th grade reports to the band room and 8th grade reports to the cafeteria by 7:10 pm.
The Concert Dress for all of our performances is the new PHMS Music shirt. If you did not purchase a shirt, you can bring $12 (short sleeve) or $15 (long sleeve) to Mrs. Gage for a shirt. You can also wear a black top with no logos/printing. Black pants and black shoes for everyone.


Auditions for the PHMS Musical "The Wizard of Oz" are this week after school in the choir room (Monday 12/11 - Thursday, 12/14). Sign-ups are on the door outside the choir room. Students must be in Choir to audition and all audition materials are on Canvas. Please bring your signed conflict sheet to your audition. Talk to Mrs. Meyer or Mrs. Stadem if you have questions!

From personalized learning plans to collaborative efforts with educators, specialists, parents, and students, our Special Education team exemplifies excellence in meeting the needs of all learners. The goal at PHMS is to champion understanding and acceptance in education, creating a setting where every student thrives and succeeds.


Students are able to purchase treats on Friday, December 8 before school starts. All treats are $1.00. All funds raised will purchase gifts for the Angel Tree.

Patrick Henry students will take the winter Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Assessment for Math on Wednesday, 12/6 and for Reading on Thursday, 12/7. We will run an alternate bell schedule to accommodate testing in the morning. Please remind your child to charge their Chromebooks.

Patrick Henry 6th, 7th and 8th grade choir students are looking forward to their Choir Concert on Tuesday, December 5th!
Location: Lincoln High School Auditorium
Time: Students need to be at LHS 30 min before their grade level concert time.
6th Grade - 5:00 pm rehearsal; 5:30 pm concert
7th grade - 6:00 pm rehearsal; 6:30 pm concert
8th grade - 7:00 pm rehearsal; 7:30 pm concert
Attire: Students wear their black PHMS Music Shirt with black pants and black shoes. Close-toed black shoes are recommended or safety on the risers, but it isn't necessary.
Door: The auditorium doors will open to the public 5 min before each concert starts.
Price: Free!

Patrick Henry 8th Graders attended JA Inspire yesterday and gained knowledge about the fast-growing, high-demand careers available in our region. JA Inspire was a hands-on expo that brought to life a variety of careers and highlighted the different educational pathways to obtaining them.

Last week, 6th grade general music students worked with Matthew Tylutki, who is the organ instructor at Augustana University. Students learned about past organs and built a miniature organ as a class. It was pretty cool for students to see the science behind how an organ plays!
