February 5-February 9, 2024 is National School Counselor Week! Our Patrick Henry counselors serve all of our students in a variety of ways. On a daily basis they provide counseling services, academic support, help students set goals, prepare students for high school and life beyond, crisis intervention and the list goes on and on. We don't know what we would do without them! Thank you Mrs. Nelsen, Mrs. Timm, Mrs. Serck and Miss Orris!
Patrick Henry Parent-Teacher Conferences are next week on Tuesday, February 13 and Thursday, February 15 from 4:30-8:00 pm.
Athletics for the Week of February 5-9, 2024. 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball will be competing against Tea this week. If students attend a home game at Patrick Henry, they must have their Student ID with them to attend.
HDR, Inc is hosting a FREE e-week outreach program this year with a focus on engineering themed activities through the Siouxland Libraries. They have 8 dates scheduled from February - April and will serve three different age groups (K-5, 6-8, and 9-12). Patrick Henry City Lights competed in their first competition - The Executive Showcase at Roosevelt High School. Out of 10 groups, City Lights earned 2nd Place and Best Vocals!

Students on Team 7-3 learned about the eight elements of culture in Social Studies. They researched a country and created a project of their choice, ranging from creative writing to recipes to slideshows, to present to their peers and parents.
These students auditioned and made it into an honor choir for 4th-6th graders that will take place in Brookings, SD on Thursday, February 8th. Congratulations!

Kemper Sestak (7th grade) and Cora Hokanson (8th grade) participated in the South Dakota Junior Honor Choir this past weekend. They auditioned and sang with other 7th-9th graders from across the state. Thank you for representing Patrick Henry!
