Valentine’s Day was extra sweet at Patrick Henry with so many smiling Sweethearts in our halls. 💘
We couldn’t let this week go by without recognizing our SRO! Even though School Resource Officer Appreciation Day was on Sunday, February 15, we want to make sure we give a big THANK YOU to Officer Ragland, our dedicated SRO at Patrick Henry Middle School. Officer Ragland works tirelessly to keep our school safe and secure, bringing peace of mind to students, staff, and families. His commitment, professionalism, and care help create a supportive environment where students and staff feel safe and supported. We appreciate all you do for our Panther community, Officer Ragland—every single day! 💙🐾👮♂️

📐✨ Team 6-1 is put their math skills to work this week! Students were busy measuring, calculating, and problem-solving as they explored the diameter and circumference of cones of all shapes and sizes. Way to go, Team 6-1!

We have another exciting week coming up at PHMS! This week features boys basketball games, Yearbook Group Photo Day, the start of our PTO fundraiser—“Donate for Dough,” the National History Day competition, and music events. We’re also looking forward to a long weekend, with no school next Monday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 17. Let’s have a great week, Panthers!! 💙🐾
Shoutout to our Team 8-2 8th graders for having ZERO tardies during 2nd quarter! 🎉 Their commitment to being on time shows true responsibility and helps keep our school safe and running smoothly. 🚀 We are thrilled to congratulate Bentley, Ruby, Hope, and Elizabeth on having their proposal accepted for the NASA TechRise Student Challenge! 🎉Their experiment, “Mystifying Moondust,” was selected as one of 60 winning teams nationwide. 🌍✨ This summer, their experiment will fly on a NASA-sponsored suborbital flight, where the team will work in collaboration with NASA TechRise mentors to turn their idea into a real, flight-ready experiment. 🛰️ Students will gain hands-on experience using sensors and scientific hardware to collect data in microgravity and space-like conditions, helping advance space exploration. We can’t wait to see where this experience takes them. The future is bright—and it’s heading to space! 🌟🚀

🌍✈️ 7th Grade Social Studies Goes Global! ✈️🌍 Our 7-3 Social Studies students shared what they learned about the culture of countries they studied with parents and peers. From traditions and food to history and customs, it was so fun to “travel” the world without ever leaving the PHMS library. 🌎📚
